Faces Canada Ultimate Pro Long Wear Matte Lipstick was a
quite pleasant surprise for me from all those drying matte lipsticks.
Product
description:
Extremely
high performance lip wear with rich and vibrant color that lasts more than 8
hours. This long lasting lip color gives an uber chic matte finish with a vivid
color burst. Enriched with vitamin E and anti-aging oxidants, it keeps your
lips soft and supple. Its deliciously creamy texture ensures a smooth and water
proof coverage.
My experience with it:
Faces Canada Ultimate
Pro long wear matte lipstick comes in a sleek black packaging. The brand name
is engraved on the tube and the shade name is mentioned at the bottom of it. The
cap shuts down tightly every time.
For a matte lipstick,
the texture is very soft. There's no dragging involved with it at all. It
offers a full coverage on my non-pigmented lips in just two swipes. Since the
shade gets two tone darker after application within some minutes, I don't apply
more than two swipes. I love the subtle wintery shade. It's just the right kind
of deep for my skin tone. I feel this is one shade which should work
beautifully even for wheatish skin tones given the fact that it turns deeper
upon application.

As for the staying
power, it does stays for long (but nothing like pro long) even with meals in
between. With light snacks and drinks, there's still a lot of color left on the
lips. With a full meal, I definitely need to touch-up. But thankfully there's
no uneven ring formation on my lips. It settles minutely into lip lines with
passage of time but then I don't even have very dry lips. Matte lipsticks can
be quite unforgiving when it comes to emphasizing dryness on lips. So this might
do just the same if you have very dry lips. Just exfoliate your lips with baby
toothbrush and vaseline before you put it on as an extra measure.
See? How the shade has turned deeper?
All in all, I liked it
but wouldn't make a re-purchase. The cost, quantity and quality don't balance
together nicely.
