So I am sure that I have raved about Maybelline Hyper
Glossy liquid eyeliner a lot here. I spoke about my feelings for it even in an
individual post like THIS. I
have recommended the same to some of my readers and friends too and they
couldn't be happier.
All along the way, I expressed my desire to own the same
liquid eyeliner in a matte finish. I am sure many others also wished for the
same. So imagine my happiness when Swathi from blog Curiousandconfusedme
told me that Maybelline has launched a matte version in this.
When she wrote that line, I stared at it for quite long
and started to dream about how dreamy my eyes will look now when I can afford
to draw winged eyes with a liquid matte liner.
*Drumrollz*
It dries down to a matte finish! Ooh! *_*
Now doesn't that makes you want to run to your nearest
makeup counter and buy it? If you can't, please don't throw any curse on me.

Now coming to that "Or maybe not?" part!
I know almost the whole blogsphere has been abuzz with
talks of the Maybelline Fit me range. Believe me when I say that I myself have
been waiting for the range to launch in India. I already own their concealer
and quite like it but not more than my NYX HD
Photogenic Concealer. I was super excited about the foundation
but guess what! Only 6 shades out of the total 15 shades have been launched
here.
I was with my friend when I was shopping for this stuff. She
too was so thrilled and as she held the darkest color foundation in her hand,
she asked to SA> Show me a match for my skin. She has a dusky skin. The SA
told her that the shades you see are all the shades which have been launched in
India. I can tell you from her face expressions that she felt disgusted and
would have surely thrown the foundation bottle on floor had I not snatched it
from her.
I too didn't felt like buying foundation then. She was so
upset. So, I got billing done only for eyeliner.
While on one hand I am so glad for Maybelline launching
the new matte eyeliner, feel gloomy at the same time to see these kind of
things happening again and again. Shade selection for dusky women in India
amongst drugstore brands should really become a history. Instead it keeps
getting repeated time and again.
