If there’s one foundation in my vanity of which I used more
than half of the quantity this winters, it’s this! Although I have a super oily
skin, it’s also dry. You know, like super oily/combination skin, as if acne,
pores and facial hair problem wasn’t enough! Hufff! Anyhow, it was my saviour
for these entire winters!
Product description:
Groom yourself for a flawless complexion applying this ‘True
Match Liquid Foundation - by L’Oréal Paris. Enriched with quality ingredients,
it hides fine lines and streaks of your skin to give you a natural looking
skin.
My experience with
L’oreal Paris The True match foundation:
Packaging: It
comes packed in a transparent glass bottle with a pump dispenser. The pump
works properly and there’s no oozing out of unnecessary product, leading to
wastage. The cap also shuts down properly. Other details like ingredients,
shade name and expiry are mentioned on the bottle itself.
Texture: L’oreal
true match foundation has a silky and lightweight texture, which blends in completely
within a few pats. The texture feels a lot like Lancome Tient Idole foundation.
I have used this with my fingers, damp sponge and buffing brush. It works well
with all. I mostly use a damp sponge. I avoid using a stippling/buffing brush
when I have a lot of dry patches to avoid more patchiness.
Coverage: It has
more than medium coverage, but not full. It covers my acne scars really well. I
have used more than two layers of it sometimes to cover a lot, but never did
the result turn cakey.
Finish: The finish is a luminous matte. It has a
subtle sheen, not oily! As per the claim, it does not give a flawless finish
but it does make your skin glow.
Staying power: Since
my super oily/combination skin starts shining early, the most important aspect
I look for in a base product is that it should prevent my face from looking
dull for at least 4-5 hours. And, it scores real well here! As mentioned by me,
I used a lot of it in winters. It lasted on my skin for more than 10+ hours,
although I did touch up in between for 2 times using powder and oil blotting
sheets. I have even used it in hot temperature and one thing I can say with
surety is that it does not transfer! I think I will avoid using it in Delhi
summers unless I’m going somewhere in an air conditioned environment.
Photography: For
a SPF foundation, it does not look bad. It did give a little white cast upon
using flash but it’s not ghost like.
Breakout problem?:
No, it has not broken me out.
I’m super happy for having bought this foundation because
the texture is just so nice to work with! Not to forget the ideal performance
for a drugstore brand!
