Everyday Soft Makeup + My First FOTD!



Yes! Finally!

Finally, I decided to throw my shyness in the bin and post my pics!





This was a very random photo shoot and honestly, this is not how I wanted my pictures to first appear on my baby blog.

I imagined my first photo shoot FOTD to be like this:
*Wearing my neon coral top with winged eyes and orange lipstick, posing with my vanity cupboard in background. Then, making poses with my lipstick, eyeliner, jewellery, shoes.. Showing off some exclusive unused things from my drawer “Things only to be stared at, not used”. But well, this is it!

I was going out yesterday with my family for lunch and movie (Mary Kom movie is just awesome!) and just 2 hours before, I decided to take pictures. So, I reserved 1 hour for this photo session. And therefore, if you are seeing some shine on face; it is because of standing in the heat in my balcony for more than an hour even with fan rotating at the top speed!

I wear winged eyes almost daily. It’s my go to daily makeup look. I don’t get to change my makeup look too often due to office and so, whenever I’m heading out elsewhere; I jump at using eyeshadows and coloured eyeliners. This eyeshadow is one of my favourites. It’s pinker in real. It not just looks good with neutral and bright lipsticks but it also gives such a polished look to eyes. I have blended it using a brown eyeshadow from the middle to the outward direction. If you want your eyes to appear raised, you can just blend the eyeshadow from middle to straight upwards and not follow the socket line like I did. Since I wanted my NYX lip liner to stay longer, I first stained my lips using a bright pink lipstick and then, applied it. It’s the reason why the lip liner looks deeper.
 

 



I get a few mails from some readers and bloggers telling me that how much they love my work and would love to see me. After I posted this blog post> Smudged eye kohl, I got many mails requesting me to post tutorial for it with full face makeup. Except for their compliments, I never replied for the “face posting” part and that is because, I really didn’t knew how to reply. *Apology* The three biggest reasons for this are:
1)      My face is just not photogenic (okay, like only 2 percent!). And, you know, how much I’m obsessed with good photographs :P
2)      Even in summers, the balconies in my home are devoid of sunlight most of the times. Lighting is very crucial for taking good snaps of face makeup and so.. huff!
3)      My Sony digital camera doesn’t capture makeup well. I brought a new camera 2 months back, Canon Point and Shoot SX700 and I can’t even figure out how to use it well. I am still using my old one.
