My
experience with Colorbar Matte Touch Lipstick “Fairytale”:
As much as I love sheer and hydrating lipsticks, I
always go for matte in bright shades since matte bright shades look very subtle
and I can carry them with a certain ease.
The colorbar matte touch lipsticks come in a silver
case packaging. The cap shuts tight after every use. There’s colorbar imprinted
on the lipstick tube and there’s a small sticker at the bottom of the lipstick
with the shade name written on it. The texture of the lipstick is marvellous! It
has got a pinch of creaminess which is why it glides very smoothly onto the lips
without any tugging. Even if I swipe it more than 2 times, it doesn’t gets
patchy. It doesn’t feel heavy. Although if you are not used to wearing matte
lipsticks, you are bound to feel a little uncomfortable but nothing a good lip
balm can’t solve. It goes on for being a soft matte at first with a very little
touch of shine but after some time, it settles onto being a complete matte. Plus,
it’s very pigmented.

The staying power is amazing. When I first had some
snacks and drinks, it just lost its hints of creaminess and the lipstick was
still fully deposited on my lips. After some two hours, I had my dinner and
then the intensity of the shade wore off a little bit. After that I had some
finger licking tasty deserts and it’s only then, that it wore off from centre
but still a lot of colour was left. Even after those 3 hours, the lipstick had neither feathered nor settled into my lip lines.
My lips felt a little dry
then, so I just used a lip balm lightly and re-applied it. I have worn it for
more than 6-7 times and it lasts for more than 6 hours if not re-applied.
Fading is definitely there but since a soft stain is left behind, the lips
don’t look colorless at all. And, the stain gets easily removed by a makeup
remover. Even after all these hours, the finish never gets patchy.

Anyhow, I’m so impressed by this lipstick range! I’ll surely
get more!
