Holaz guys!
While strolling through my own blog place yesterday,
I realized that I have hardly done any makeup brushes reviews. So, here I’m
starting with it!
Description:
This
sleek black and gold brush set includes 10 high-quality, dual-fiber brushes
that apply liquids, creams and powders with ease. From sculpting to blending,
create a seamless face for any occasion.
My
experience:
These brushes arrived to me safely within a 20 day
period and I was so impressed with the packing. Between the pouch and cardboard
box, it was wrapped multiple times with thick paper to ensure that they do not
get spoiled in any way.
Of course, I washed them first and then, started to
use them. When I washed them for the first time, there was minimal shedding of
hair. I have washed some brushes (ones which I use more frequently than others)
for more than 7-8 times and they are still in a very good condition.
I
have 2 face brushes and a makeup sponge from MAC, 3-4 brushes from Inglot and
other brushes mostly from Real Techniques, Too faced and some other unknown
brands. I’m not going to compare the quality of BH Cosmetics brushes with the
higher end ones because at the price they come at, it would be not fair.

To start with, the brushes are very soft. So, you do
not have to worry about scratching your face with them. Also, I find the brush
handle length quite ideal. Short handled brushes are ideal when doing makeup on
your own face. These brushes are best for contouring and highlighting your face
and eyes rather than buffing liquid on your face. It’s because compared to my
other face brushes, they are smaller in size and less dense. For foundations
that have a thin liquid texture, these are great to work with and give a very
good finish along with making pore size smaller. But for my thick cream
foundations, I prefer my other dense brushes which make the process easy and
quick and give a more seamless finish.

Given the small size of the brushes,
they are very apt to be used for contouring and highlighting process. I love
the “cheekbones” and “powder” brush! I
mostly use the slanted face brush and other slanted shape small brush to contour
my nose. I also use the other small brushes to contour my eyes when I want a
strong definition.
A glitch here is that the smaller sized brushes do
not retain their shape so well after washing. So, I try washing them less and
use more of makeup brush cleanser mist to clean them. Sometimes, I have to make
a little tweak with my fingers to use them correctly.
Anyhow, these brushes are very nice and if you are
looking for affordable and soft brushes especially for contouring, you should
really give them a try.
