DISCLAIMER:
You
are advised to not to read/look this post at night or if you are on a lipstick
ban because you may feel the sudden urge to rush out and buy a new lipstick.
Also, you won’t understand this post if you aren’t crazy for lipsticks. So, in
the end don’t call me crazy because normal is just an illusion. And, this is
not my lipstick collection. No, I’m not showing off. ^_^
Recently, I finished my L’oreal lip stain
“Bella” (Review HERE) and I still can’t bring myself to throw it. I have
finished 2 lipsticks and 3 lipglosses till date and I have not been able to
throw any. They are too precious and gorgeous to be thrown away in a dustbin..
even in my cute looking dustbin.
There’s something about lipsticks that
are neatly lined and are placed after one another. They are bright, bold and
dull with their bullet head straight, just like our nature. When I’m feeling
low, I just stare at them, adore their beauty, pick up one to uplift my mood
and put it on. There’s something magical
about them. It’s like they give me hope. Do you feel that too?
Sometime back, I was on a lipstick ban
for 2 months (to buy some limited edition lipsticks that were going to be
launched) and it was miserable. I gained 3 kgs in those two months since
whenever I felt the need to buy a new lipstick; I had to calm myself down by
eating so many cupcakes.
Infact, I realize that buying lipsticks is actually healthy. I
can’t cut on my other expenses. So, recently when I brought THIS YSL lipstain,
I gave up on so much of junk food to save money! I think we should all buy a high end lipstick every 2 months! This can
be a new kind of diet. A revolutionary idea! But it would work only if you
are a lipstick lover and you have a budget! Yes, that can also be your New Year
resolution if you still have not made any.
*Notes down herself*
I don’t feel guilty in buying and
possessing so many lipsticks! In fact, I know the number will just keep
increasing. Yes, I am materialistic (It
boosts up my motivation level!) but never has that interfered with my kindness,
compassion and honesty! In the end,
we all are materialistic.. it’s just that the choices differ.
Currently, I have 15 lipsticks which are
still pending for review and I prayed that I would not buy another one till I
review at least half of them. But as fate would have it, I saw a SA swatching
such a pretty pink lipstick on someone’s hand. I was walking from the makeup
counter with my head turned away in another direction and it had to turn to the
SA’s direction at that time! It was like the lipstick called me! Actually, I
heard the SA’s voice saying “madam, yeh
bhot sundar pink hai.” It was such a gorgeous pink. The curve of my smile
has broadened quite a bit! I had to try it. Ya, I brought it home.
I placed it on my bedside table. The untouched
bullet, the beautiful pink shade and the yummy scent.. I am wearing it now..
Oh! It is such a beauty! It’s Lakme gloss addict “Pink Temptation.” Never did I
thought I would buy a Lakme lipstick worth for Rs.800. Well.. I did!
Now, I’m on a mission to hunt a lipstick shade which I saw Jacqueline Fernandez
wearing recently.. I got to have it!
Are
you a lipstick lover? Do you have a crazy lipstick incident to share? Do you
feel like buying a lipstick now? I may tomorrow! No! Yes! No....
