My experience with Lakme Absolute White Intense Skin Cover
SPF 25 Foundation:
I have a very oily and sweaty skin
and so, I’m always on the lookout for base products that cannot just keep this
shine in check for a considerable time but also keep my face looking fresh for
long, with some touch-ups. Another important aspect I look out for my base
products is that they should be transfer proof! Be it summers or extreme
summers! I sweat a lot, so that matters to me a lot. It’s only in rare cases of
excessive sweating that my foundation disintegrates and gets a little patchy,
which I fix with a touch up.
I purchased this foundation previous
summers after having read rave reviews of it. So, yes! This is my second
bottle! Next month, I’m buying a new foundation which has been on my wish list
for long. For now, let me say that I’m so glad for having bought this
foundation.
As you can see, it comes in a steel
bottle with a pump and one can easily control the amount through the pressure
one keeps on the pump. The only glitch in packaging is that the cap does not
shut properly. So, when I travelled with it, I kept it in a small box for the
fear of spilling.
The texture of the foundation is
extremely light. It blends in easily with a few taps and disappears! Seriously!
The finish is matte but a tiny glow from it prevents it from being a flat matte
foundation. I have worn this with all seasons of my skin. If you have a little
dry skin, the foundation is not going to go patchy while application but if you
have a dry skin, you surely need to moisturize your face for it to blend
seamlessly.

The foundation does not oxidize on
me. Set up with powder, it lasts for really long on my oily skin in our Indian
weather summer conditions. Of course, I have to do touch up once or twice to
eliminate shine in between, but it does not budge from your skin or disintegrates
unless you are sweating heavily. It masks my pores a little and covers my acne
scars really well. The coverage of the foundation can be built from
light-medium. I mostly use my fingers to apply it. I use the shade “03” which
matches well with my skintone (NC 25). It looks a tad lighter but after some
time, it adapts to my skin tone well. Anyways, I use foundation 1-2 shades
lighter in summers.
The two bothersome aspects with it
are that I can’t use it straight for more than 5 days otherwise my skin gets a
tiny red bump. I’m guessing it’s because of the strong citrusy scent it has. So,
I keep alternating. And, the second is that you get “15ml” for Rs.700!
