By reading the shade

shades but well it turned out the opposite. This “adventurous” palette contains
4 shades that can be easily worn for day wear.

My experience with Revlon 16 hr Eyeshadow
Palette “Adventurous”:
I purchased this
palette a month ago when my friend was trying some lipsticks at Revlon counter.
My eyes fell on this palette and there were so many shade ranges in this category
that I had a really difficult time choosing one. I finally settled on this one
since I particularly loved the olive green shade. This palette comes in a black
plastic casing with a transparent lid above. It also comes with a dual sponge applicator
which I have apparently misplaced. As you can see in the pictures, there’s also
a diagram depicted at the back on how to use it.
I have to say that I’m
very disappointed with this eyeshadow palette. The first is a white shade with
golden shimmer that looks almost yellow on my complexion. As a highlighter, I
prefer something more neutral and with less yellow tinge but this appears very yellowey. All the shades have a nice and
buildable pigmentation but the texture of the olive green and coppery shade is
a little irregular and hard which is why blending of these two eyeshadows
require a little more than gentle effort on the eyes. Even the texture of the taupe
eyeshadow is a little stiff.
I have tested all of these shades on my eyes
individually and sadly they are poor in staying power area too. Within 3 hours,
all the shades creased badly upon my lids but there wasn’t any fading with the
color intensity. For reference, I have oily eyelids but I tested these with a
base and powdered lids. Since I loved the olive green shade, I wanted to wear
it again and this time I wore it with a primer and it fared much better,
wearing nicely over 6+ hours with minimal creasing. But I’m not buying these
palettes again. For me, it’s a big let down!
