After I made the post “Rs.300 and Under GoodIndian Makeup Products” HERE, I got a few queries asking options for some more affordable
eyeshadows. I could only think of my favourite Maybelline color tattoo and
Inglot refill eyeshadows. So, I picked up a few neighbourhood eyeshadows on my
next visit to market in hope I may just get more options. This is one of them.
Now, moving on to this eyeshadow,
The packaging is very nice. It comes in a small round
type packaging where you are supposed to move the lid sideways and it opens.
The eyeshadow is actually a dome shaped one but when I opened it for the 4th
time, it just came out on its own and so, now I’m left with a flat eyeshadow
shape. There’s also a mirror at the back. And, the shade is mentioned on a
sticker pasted on this. Thoughtful, know?!

Now, moving onto the quality, the texture of the
eyeshadow feels stiff and dry. The pigmentation is just average. When I applied
it dry, the intensity of the shade did not coat my eyelids fully and it wore
off majorly in just 2 hours. Next time, I applied it using a wet brush. The
intensity came off much better on my eyelids and it lasted for around 3 hours
on my eyelids. But even in those 3 hours, there was quite a creasing over my
fold area. With a good eye primer
beneath, it lasted an hour more but with considerable fading and creasing. Blending
too takes a little extra effort, due to the stiff texture. For reference, I
have oily eyelids.
I used my favorite eye primer here which my oily lids love but still this eyeshadow didn't work.
In short, I’m not impressed with these eyeshadows.
Rather than buying these affordable eyeshadows in lot, I would prefer having
with myself a few universal shades like bronze, black, gold, navy blue and some
more so that I wouldn’t have to comprise on the quality front so much.
