3 Sunscreens for every skin type

I’m having skin crisis these days since my skin has become really funny because of the effect of the acne medications. I am having super oily skin with little dry patches on my right cheek. It has made the application of foundation so tricky for me. When I feel that I have moisturized and mattified my skin at the same time, I look in the mirror after some hours and realize that my foundation is sticking to the dry patch..Gross! But things seem to have got smoother with the inclusion of a new product in the past week. Hope I finally achieve victory!

Coming to the sunscreens,

L’oreal UV Perfect “Transparent skin” SPF 50+ sunscreen review

Gives Protection against Brown Spots, Skin Darkening and Premature Ageing
This non-tinted sunscreen protects your skin from skin darkening and premature ageing while reducing the appearance of dark spots and blemishes.
Ultra-Fine, Non-Greasy and Non-Sticky Texture
The Loreal Paris Dermo Expertise UV Perfect Transparent Skin - Non-Tinted - SPF 50 boasts an ultra-fine, non-greasy and non-sticky texture that blends perfectly with your skin.

I purchased this sunscreen in winters when I had combination-dry skin. It worked great then because it has a little thick texture and moisturizes skin very nicely. It gets in absorbed easily. Also, what I really liked about it was that it gives a subtle glow on applying and it’s not because of any whitish cast left on the face. Even the SPF and UVA levels are high, so one gets the maximum sun protection. The packaging is secure with a nozzle like tip. Now in summers, this doesn’t work for me. It feels heavy although it will work for dry-very dry skin types nicely. A friend of mine has the tinted version of it and I found that one very light in texture as compared to this.

Nivea Sun Light Feeling Daily Face Sun Fluid 50+ Sunscreen Review

Phew! Quite a name! It comes housed in a small plastic bottle with a nozzle type tip dispersing the liquid. I have to make sure to shake the bottle every time otherwise only a transparent liquid comes out. It’s because the products split up. The texture is thin but really oily. I first used it when I had combination skin and even after 10 minutes of application, my skin felt so greasy. I thought of then using it for my hands but even they felt slippery. I finally handed it to my sister who has a very dry skin and it worked real nicely for her. So, I think this sunscreen is best suited for very dry skin types and definitely not for normal, combination or oily skin.

Lotus Herbals UV Screen Matte Gel SPF 50 Review

Quick overview : Lotus Herbals Matte Gel Ultra Soothing SPF-50 protects against all forms of sun induced damage: Skin tan, Sun burn, Pre-mature ageing and Skin Cancer.
Details of Lotus Herbals Matte Gel Ultra Soothing SPF-50 (50 g)

This is by far the best sunscreen I have ever tried for my super oily skin. My blogger friend, Mayuri raved about this sunscreen in her blog and got me convinced. I’m so glad I brought this. It’s a transparent looking thick gel. It’s light, non-greasy and gets absorbed in a jiffy giving a neat matte look. The packaging is very travel friendly although at times the small hole dispenses product more than required leading to product wastage. Another thing which I have noticed with this is that it makes me tan really less. I have tried other sunscreens too which SPF ratings as high as this but this has proved to be the most effective for me.  It has never even broken me out. And, it has a nice fragrance too but subtle. But since I’m having oily skin with dry patches these days, I have to make sure to moisturize first. This will work nicely for normal, combination and oily skin
