I was very keen on trying these ELF blushes since I
had read that they dry like a stain and last for hours!
-
ELF Studio HD Blush “Encore” comes in a
neat plastic, see-through packaging with a black pump. The pump works nicely
and dispenses the product in one go only. The pressure of the pump can very
well be controlled (unlike MAC Pro Longwear Concealer’s pump! Horrible!). So,
no product wastage.
-
The shade is a bright deep pink shade
with minute silver shimmers.
-
The shimmers don’t enhance my pore size
in any way.
-
This blush is insanely pigmented. I need
only two dots for both my cheeks and done!
-
It does blends nicely but since the
texture is a little dry, a little more effort is required in blending.
-
The blush does contains silica, so make
sure you are compatible with this ingredient.
-
I wanted to say “it dies to a long
lasting finish” after this, but! The blush lasted for 4-5 hours on my oily
skin. It fades evenly. I think with a primer beneath, it will last longer. As a
lipstick, it wears off fast and in between meals, it wears down unevenly.
-
ELF is a cruelty free brand. Brownie
points!
For the price, this blush is really
good. But it’s not the blush you should be seeking if you want a dewy, shiny effect.
More than a cream based blush, this stands out as a stained blush effect.
When I wear this as a blush, I wear
the same shade on lips and then, I seal it with “Kryolan Lip Seal” for a long
lasting effect. I draw a thin black liner and done. I like to wear this blush
only when I wear glasses and I like to wear it a little strong.
Price: Around Rs.450
