I have a super oily, acne prone and very sensitive
skin with open pores problem. If these problems weren’t enough, another problem
is that I can’t keep using an effective product for more than 15 days
continuously on my skin because otherwise its effect stops! So, I need to keep
alternating between skin care and hair care products.
Face wash/Shampoos are the products I keep changing
and experimenting with the most.
Here’s my opinion on some of the face washes I tried
these summers:
Biotique
Bio Pineapple Fresh Foaming Cleansing Gel Review:
I have emptied around 5 bottles of this face wash easily. On days, when I use
just a powder compact over my face, this face wash washes every trace of that
compact. I can say this because I have swiped cotton dipped in makeup remover
after washing my face with this and no trace of makeup I could spot on that
cotton ball. It doesn’t make my oily skin stretchy but at the same time,
removes oil and dirt effectively but it won’t work for dry skinned people. And,
also, it removes tan quite effectively. I’m not saying it removes tan
completely but the difference it makes in lightening skin due to tan deposited,
is clearly visible. Although the screw cap is annoying, the performance outshines
it. Also, it lasts long.

Nivea Refreshing Face Wash Review:
This face wash is clearly meant for non-problematic skin. It is soap free and
thick gel based face wash which is very mild on the skin. For my oily skin, I
don’t like using it since I can’t get a squeaky clean feel after using this. Although
when my skin got a little dry in between, I loved using this because of its
mild effect. I also like using it when I’m on strong medications due to my acne
and my skin gets dry. It doesn’t make any claim regarding acne control or oil
control, so no deduction for that. In short, it’s a mild face wash and a little
difficult to wash off. This is another reason I don’t like using it quite
often.

Ponds
White Beauty Face Wash Review: This face wash is good
for oily skinned people since it takes out oil and dirt effectively without
making skin stretchy. Since it foams quite nicely, it’ll last for long. I don’t
find any brighter skin or spotless face. Blah claims! But it gave me little
bumps on face. I’m not using it again.

Ponds
Smooth Pores Facial Foam Review: This face wash is good
only for oily/super oily skinned people. It takes out oil effectively and
controls oil for quite a good time. It reduces pore size temporarily (only for
some minutes!). It gives a nice cooling sensation on face. Again, this broke me
out!
